Supira Medical, a Shifamed Portfolio Company, is developing a low-profile, high-flow percutaneous ventricular assist device (pVAD) to provide temporary mechanical circulatory support in percutaneous coronary interventional (PCI) procedures as well as patients suffering from cardiogenic shock.

The candidate should be detail oriented with some problem solving skills and be a self starter. Sound knowledge of manual and automated inspection methods is required. Familiarity with MRB, in process audits, calibration systems, and equipment management is a plus. This position reports directly to the QA manager.

Responsibilities, Skills & Hands-On Experience
- Conducting inspection checks on incoming components and documentation.
- Execute standard metrology and inspection methods.
- Perform manual and automated inspections.
- Interpret engineering drawings, certificates of analyses, and standard statistical sampling plans.
- Ensure equipment is calibrated and maintained within the inspection area.
- Maintain compliance to equipment procedure (ie: enter new equipment and appropriate calibration requirements into the database, perform retirement, and understand maintenance requirements and deadlines).
- Maintain the QC materials area.
- Conduct MRB and manage the nonconforming materials area.
- Assist with problem solving – root cause analysis – corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results
- Ensure production personnel are following proper procedure for ongoing production checks
- Development and maintenance of quality procedures and work instructions
- Other duties as required by quality management
Education & Work Experience
- A minimum of six years' experience in QC or a similar role.
- Experience with nonconformance and MRB desired.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills desired.
Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. In addition to those factors, we also examine internal equity as well as consider current market rate, and title may be assessed one level lower or higher accordingly. After you join the company your performance, contributions, and results along with business and organizational needs will affect your base salary. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $60,000 to $70,000 + equity + benefits.
