Healthcare client in Temecula looking for a Sr. Accountant!

We are looking for a detail-oriented senior accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The senior accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

*Contract position-3-4 months*

*Hybrid remote position*

Monday-Friday

8am-5pm

Duties:

• Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
• Preparing financial analyses and reports.
• Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
• Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Assisting with annual audit preparations.
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Preparing federal, state, local, and special tax returns.
• Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
• Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree required
• 3-5 years experience in Accounting required. Acute care/healthcare experience preferred
• CPA or other professional certification is a plus
• Ensure accuracy of entries to the general ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts. Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. The Regional Senior Accountant may assist with training of department team members as needed.

Pay: $69,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year
