Job description

This position is part of a 6 person kitchen team with a heart for seniors, working in a recreation center café serving adults over the age of 60. This is a hands-on position responsible for the preparing and serving of salads, desserts, and other foods to be served to the members and guests in the Ultimate Café as well as ongoing facility cleanliness and menu planning. Hours are approximately 8:00am to 3:00pm with some flexibility, M-F. Position could be 30 to 35 hours a week depending on the candidates requirements. Applicant will need to be ServSafe certified within 90 days of hire.
Compensation based on experience, agreed duties, and hours. Other team members include the Chef, sous chef and café assistants. No health benefits. Equal Opportunity Employer. Drug Free Workplace. Fingerprint background check will be required and applicant must be eligible to work with the elderly under state mandated guidelines. Position requires standing up to 35 hours per week. Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, or stooping. The employee must frequently lifting of light and heavy objects.
