The Social Media Marketing team’s primary objective is to drive brand love and foster community among our followers across our major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest etc.), strategize and activate against large-scale campaigns, and develop and publish content that provides entertainment and value to our customers’ everyday lives. We regularly partner cross-functionally to bring organizational initiatives to life.

The Social Media Community Associate will play a critical role within the team, responsible for fostering community engagement on both on our owned channels (@Wayfair) and off (follower or partner content), interacting with fans and conversations relevant to our brand.

This role is based in the Wayfair Headquarters in Boston, with a hybrid schedule in the office Tuesday - Thursday and work from home days being Monday & Friday.

What You'll Do

  • Respond to our audience comments and inquiries in a timely manner across social media channels
  • Activate against our content calendar by publishing content to relevant platforms
  • Collaborate with Influencer and Partnership teams to understand partner and third-party calendars to engage with content
  • Provide community feedback to management and stakeholders
  • Partner with our Customer Service team to ensure they have visibility into any customer service needs
  • Establish response playbooks and streamline response process with merchandising teams for SKU questions
  • Monitor social media campaigns, evergreen content and ad hoc content using key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Find new outreach opportunities to push brand’s image and products
  • Seek out new user generated content and opportunities to share content from our community
  • Stay up to date on digital and social trends, bringing new trends and ideas to the team
  • Other projects as needed
What You'll Need
  • 1+ years experience in a social media, communications, creative writing, journalism, PR role, or similar
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills - you love to write and think on your feet
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Passion for social media - you’re someone who’s excited about new social trends and platforms
  • Ability to work effectively with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Collaborative team player mindset - you want to see yourself and others thrive
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • A roll-up-your-sleeves, figure it out, get it done attitude
  • Familiarity with Sprinklr and Dash Hudson a plus
