Position Summary
The Research Specialist will assist in the analysis of diffusion and structural MR images. This person will apply existing image analysis programs to analyze the image, with a major focus on our diffusion MRI analysis tools. Excellent attention to detail is a must as the position requires a high degree of organization. Must possess the ability to concentrate on short term tasks while keeping long term focus on project responsibilities. The computer assisted analysis requires a careful validation process and quality check of the results.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Previous experience with Unix is required. A good working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs is also required. Expertise in the use of image analysis software is expected, in particular with ITKSnap and 3D Slicer. The research specialist will also be required to become familiar with HIPPA regulations that pertain to medical research.
