Carpenter Technician

We are looking for a skilled carpenter / home improvement technician to join our home improvement contracting company. You must be hard-working, reliable, and willing to perform various tasks that are required on the work site. As a carpenter technician you will be solely responsible for the completion of various home improvement projects such as bathroom remodels, kitchen remodels, Decking etc.

Pay Range $18.00 to 22.00 based on experience

Typical daily tasks include but are not limited to:

Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
Knowledge of Construction Methods and various trades such as demolition, framing, basic
Electric/Plumbing, underlayment, drywall hanging, taping, and finishing, painting, flooring installation, finish carpentry (trim, case, base, shoe, crown, cabinet installation), proper tile installation, window, door and siding installation
Solve math problems quickly and accurately
Quality control experience and basic knowledge of applicable building codes
Ability to interact and communicate well with the Client, Manager, and Subcontractors throughout the job
Self-starter and independent worker with attention to detail
Gather and transport tools and materials
Keep jobsite clean and organized
Remove trash, debris, garbage etc.
Keep tools and equipment clean and organized
Assist with common jobsite tasks including but not limited to:
Demolition, trash removal, site cleanup etc.

Other requirements
Must be able to perform physical activities such as but not limited to, lifting tools, equipment, and materials. Sometimes this also includes traveling up and down steps to the work location. Must be able to bend, stand, climb, and walk. Must be able to safely use manual and power tools, utilize the proper
Personal protection equipment (PPE)
Hold a valid Driver’s License
Have reliable transportation
Must be 18 years of age
Have no drug and or alcohol problems
This position is outside and indoors therefore various weather conditions exist.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
