ign Shop/Bindery Assistant

Cascade Print Media is looking for an dynamic and hands-on sign and bindery assistant. We produce commercial print, packaging, sign and graphics across multiple industries. This candidate will work with various materials including acrylic, paper, vinyl, digital/offset print products, and aluminum, among other things.

Responsibilities:

· Operate various machinery to complete and finish printed materials such as saddle stitcher, folder, paper cutter, etc.

· Set up, run, service and repair operating machines on own

· Read job tickets/instructions and evaluate what is needed (ie. Tools, equipment, how to set up, how to cut, etc.)

· Strong attention to detail with high quality assurance standards

· Creation and manipulation of art from clients as needed to provide quality printed products on various substraights

· Field installation of finished products to include wall covers, window film, adhesive vinyl, dimensional signage, vehicle wraps and more.

· Installation and delivery of custom signage

· Must be able to complete labor-intensive work repeat, including loading and unloading equipment, lifting up to 50+ pounds, climbing ladders, digging sign footings, etc.

· Adept in working with various power equipment when needed such as drills, saws, grinders, etc.

· Ability to learn quickly and work independently

· Problem solving

· Basic math/measurement

· Standing for extended periods of time

· Strong written and verbal communication

· Comfortable working on ladders, boom trucks, scissor lifts, scaffolding, etc.

· Self motivated with excellent problem solving skills and ability to find solutions while onsite

· Flexible work hours – some jobs requirements are outside the regular shift hours

· Have a “can-do” attitude

· Be able to multi-task

· Basic understanding of using PC

· Be able to communicate clearly – often times communicating directly with the client while onsite

· Must be able to work well under pressure with time sensitive deadlines

· Must maintain high level of craftsmanship and product quality while also meeting schedule demands

· Willing to work offsite, sometime exposed to outdoor elements during installation process

· Occasional assistance in our apparel shop with embroidery of products, as needed

Qualifications

· Previous experience with sign installation and vehicle wrap installation preferred (not required)

· Strong graphic design skills perferred

· Strong problem solving skills and critical thinking skills

· High attention to detail with strong quality assurance standard

· Highly organized knowledge and comfortable with hand and power tools

· Excellent customer service skills, both with internal and external customers

· Valid drivers license with good standing driving record

· Ability to read maps/navigate

· Career orientated and self motivated

· Occasional overtime and weekend work

· Ability to work well with a team or individually based on job needs

· Professional appearance

· Ability to pass background check

· This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day

· Most work is performed in a warehouse like setting, with exposure to noise that can be loud, moving parts and machines, and vibrations.

· Close/distance color vision and depth/peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
