Job description
Main Purpose
As a Shipping Manager with Tradebe, you will oversee all functions of the shipping department on your assigned shift. You will ensure timeliness and safe practices in the shipping department while overseeing the personnel. This individual will have leadership experience and extensive knowledge in shipping and receiving.
The role
Key job responsibilities
Ensure the timely shipment of all container loads to be processed offsite
Oversee all functions of shipping department
Ensure monthly inventory reduction via consolidation and shipment
Ship all container loads to be processed offsite
Maintain DOT compliance for all shipments and follow disposal outlet guidelines for all shipments
Maintain a less than 1 year inventory of hazardous waste
Ensure that all processing areas are in compliance with DOT, RCRA and PCI Permit standards
Review and approve invoices for alternate disposal facilities and other Shipping department
The person
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to three (1 to 3) years of industry experience (Shipping & Hazardous Waste Handling)
- Leadership experience is preferred
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to read, understand, and apply common operational documents, SOP’s, manifests, bills' of lading.
- The selected candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
- SAP experience preferred
