Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Forklift Operator
- Inspect finished product
- Prepare containers to be shipped per customer requirements
- Verify inventory and rotate stock
- Segregate non-conforming material
- Pull parts from stock to fill orders
- Assist in production needs as needed
- Load and unload trucks as required with a forklift
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and forklift
- Maintain order in stored casting trimmed and untrimmed
- Be a backup for the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor
- Observe all Boyd safety and OSHA guidelines and procedures
- Must support and follow the QMS requirement
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications of Forklift Operator
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required. - Knowledge of Shipping/Receiving
- Be able to utilize Microsoft based computer programs
- Must be able to be company certified on forklift operation
Knowledge of Forklift Operator
Basic reasoning skills and language skills (ability to read, analyze and interpret general business paperwork in English). Ability to complete shop paperwork. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions/requests from managers, clients, customers and the general public in English. Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization. Ability to read and understand the company quality policy in English.
