SUMMARY: The Fixed Operations Support Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the fixed operations department of a company. The fixed operations department typically includes service, parts, and collision departments. The coordinator plays an important role in ensuring the smooth functioning of these departments by managing various operational and administrative tasks.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the fixed operations department, including coordinating schedules and workflow, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Serving as a liaison between the fixed operations department and other departments within the company, such as sales and finance.
  • Assisting with the management of inventory levels and orders for parts and supplies.
  • Coordinating with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and supplies.
  • Managing customer inquiries and complaints related to the fixed operations department.
  • Creating and maintaining reports and records related to departmental operations and performance.
  • Coordinating and facilitating training programs for fixed operations staff.
  • Assisting with the implementation of new procedures and initiatives to improve departmental performance.
  • Conducting research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in an administrative or operational role, preferably in an automotive or service-related industry.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Minimum 2 years fixed operations experience or equivalent

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Accurate typing skills 30wpm
  • Ability to quickly learn and comprehend company systems
  • Intermediate skills with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
