Wickham Tractor Co. is offering an excellent opportunity for an EXPERIENCED Service Manager at our Longmont location.

The Service Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Longmont service division operations, as well as the staff. The ideal candidate will strive to excel and lead a profitable division by achieving employee and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of five years of proven successful service management experience.

In this role you will:

  • Supervise all service department personnel, review, and analyze performance results, and take any necessary corrective action to improve performance and increase efficiency and profits.
  • Develop and implement business plans on a yearly basis to grow the business and make adjustments to the plan dictated by current conditions.
  • Ensure quality work is being performed to customers’ expectation levels including preventative maintenance programs, seasonal equipment inspections, and employee incentive programs to drive sales.
  • Hire, train, orientate, and certify the appropriate number of technicians, and other support personnel in various areas of expertise.
  • Maintain individual and group productivity and efficiency reports; make necessary adjustments to achieve departmental goals.
  • Mentor and counsel employees during periodic performance reviews within company guidelines.
  • Sell labor and parts to achieve profit targets determined in the overall business plan. Know the local market potential, customers, vendors, and competition.
  • Assure that all paperwork, repair orders, warranty claims, and supporting documents are accurate and complete, and maintained in a secure fashion.
  • Maintain all necessary records relating to government regulations, OSHA, hazardous waste removal, and environmental policies/procedures.
  • Keep the service department tool areas, break areas, and lot, clean and free of any safety hazards and presentable to a public-facing standard.
  • Plan, initiate, and participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly team meetings and safety meetings.
  • Assist technicians in the diagnosis of customer equipment mechanical problems, recommend and sell appropriate repairs, stay on top of work in process, and keep customers informed of any delays and progress in person, by phone, text, or email.
  • Maintain superior customer relations; handle any customer complaints with courtesy and professionalism in an expeditious manner.
  • Follow factory and vendor warranty policies, guidelines, and procedures, always having the best interest of the customer and Wickham Tractor Co in mind.
  • Solicit additional service business by phone and personal contact regularly.
  • Must be able to work in harmony with other department staff, managers, and senior management.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper payments are received before releasing units to customers, and timely submission of warranty claims and collection.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions and information to an advanced level
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, a college degree or technical certifications is desired
  • Minimum five years of proven experience in a Construction Equipment, Truck Repair Facility, or Ag Dealership with 5 years in a supervisory role
  • Must have a working knowledge of current Ag Equipment repair methods and diagnostic procedures including remote diagnostics technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong analytical skills, computer literacy, and proficiency with basic computer software programs
  • Experience managing financial statements
  • Must have a professional personal appearance
  • Current and insurable Colorado Driver’s License required and clean CDL is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:
