Functional Description:
As the Sr. Software Engineer Lead, you will manage the team throughout the life cycle of multiple development and in-service software programs. The applications support Nuclear Command, Control and Communication mission critical to the security of our country. You will inspire and shape agile and hybrid agile develop strategies to fulfill necessary outcomes within schedule constraints.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads, directs, and manages software development and sustainment for aviation-based complex software intensive programs
- Works across functional areas of design, implementation, configuration, cyber, integration, and testing so teams are aligned with program objectives and customer software engineering processes
- Ensures compliance and continuous improvement for software sustainment policies and procedures
- Reports to senior management and other stakeholders
- Reviews and prepares software technical documents, assesses OEM developed SW, identifies, and reports discrepancies and manages software technical solutions
- Incorporates best management practices with other functional teams
Required Experience:
10 years of experience performing duties described in the functional description
Education Requirements:
MA/MS from accredited college or university
