SENIOR RESEARCH ASSISTANT - PHELPS CENTER
Job description
The Senior Research Assistant will carry out clinical and translational research in the fields of neurogenetics, mental health, and clinical outcomes benefiting patients with cerebral palsy. This will include high-level supervision from the Principal Investigator (PI) in the Phelps Center for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine. Duties will include oversight of clinical research operations, protocol development/refinement, collection and analysis of data, preparation of research publications, and supervision/mentorship of trainees.
Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related field required.
- Master’s degree in STEM or related field preferred.
- Coursework in database management, statistics, and academic publication formats preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of 4-years of related experience.
- Candidates with a Master’s degree must have a minimum of 2-years of related experience.
- Prior working knowledge in at least one Statistical software (MATLAB, SPSS, R, SATA, or SAS) is preferred.
- Experience with database management and manuscript preparation preferred.
- Applicants from non-traditional training pathways but exceptional relevant experience may also be considered
