We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team based in Boston, MA. This is a hybrid role requiring about 3 days per week on-site in Boston and remote the remainder of the time. As part of our knowledgeable engineering staff, you'll work alongside industry experts specializing in Data networking products from renowned manufacturers like Juniper, Extreme (legacy Nortel), and HPE Aruba. Get ready to dive into the fascinating world of optical, Layer 2, and Layer 3 routing protocols while exploring security protocols like IPSec, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.

Your role will be pivotal as you collaborate with our valued customers, helping to develop cutting-edge network designs and leading the technical aspects of their projects. You'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact by spearheading customer installations and configurations, creating high-level and detailed low-level designs, and acting as the networking technical lead for exciting customer initiatives.

To excel in this role, you'll leverage your extensive experience with Juniper routers and switches, including EX, MX, and SRX. Additionally, you'll have the chance to work with HPE Aruba, Extreme, Palo Alto, and Fortinet firewalls. Harness your skills to automate equipment roll-outs through template creation, support the account team as a subject matter expert, and collaborate with prime SEs on network designs. As a 3rd level resource, you'll provide invaluable support to our Tech Support engineers.

Qualifications:

• You possess 5-10 years of experience in field support, professional services, or a technical support role, showcasing your expertise.
• Your deep familiarity with Juniper routers and switches and migrations from VPLS to EVPN sets you apart.
• Extensive knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing protocols such as MPLS, EVPN, VXLAN, BGP, and OSPF is a must.
• Your strong command over Juniper Space Security Director demonstrates your proficiency.
• The ability to script and configure networking devices is second nature to you.
• Your security protocol knowledge is robust, enabling you to navigate complex challenges.
• Data center routing and switching experience is essential for success in this role.
• Your exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills make you an effective collaborator.
• Account management and customer communication come naturally to you, enabling you to build strong relationships.
• You thrive in fast-paced environments, effortlessly juggling multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $165,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
