Job description
As the Senor Loan Servicing Specialist you will book loans, prepare, process, and follow up on the loan process. The specialist handles mortgage servicing analysis on all mortgage loans. The specialist also researches problem accounts as well as handles customer service calls and e-mails. This specialist will work directly with customers, bank specialists, and third parties to research loan issues and determine the best course of resolution.
Key Responsibilites
- Book new loans – review all signed loan documentations and upload new loans to the Fiserv Premier System. Follow up with branches and Loan Officers/Originations for missing or incorrect loan information, prepare block posting sheets and/or process TMS transactions.
- Interact with branches, customers and Officers to research and solve loan problems.
- Process payoff checks, including preparing loan and general ledger tickets; paid loan sheets.
- File maintenance on loans – updating pending items such as titles, missing documentation, attaching ACH’s/autodebits for payments.
- Ongoing maintenance of loans which includes processing renewals and modifications, tracking pending collateral items, processing advances, payments and payoffs, and tracking required insurance.
- Processing paid loan files – releasing paid documentations, title, refund checks, etc.
- Load auto loans with PA titles in the Vinteck System to track our lien recordings in PA.
- Preparing loan set-up sheets to attached Overdraft Loan to Checking accounts.
- Check back previous day’s booked loans, modifications, increases, conversions, block posting sheets.
- Run Vintek Reports.
- Send out loan pending list to branches and loan officers.
- Import new loan files into our imaging system Unity Client/Director
- Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
- High school diploma
- 6 months previous customer service experience
- 5 years previous accounting or 6 months previous mortgage loan servicing/operations or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers on all levels.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
- Must be bondable.
