POSITION TITLE: Senior Director of Finance
POSITION PURPOSE:
To improve the organization and performance of the Finance Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Facilitate the annual operating budget and review process. Facilitate the annual operating plan and budget process. Enable building and maintaining the budgeting system. Communicate to sales, subsidiaries and departments the budget calendar and assumptions, send out templates and assist them in preparing and completing the budget. Conduct analyses on submitted budgets, prepare reports on submitted budgets, prepare reports and make recommendations to senior management in budget revisions. Revise and finalize the budget. Complete system update for budget. Prepare budget book to present to senior management.
Perform financial analyses on business operations. Monitor and analyze monthly operational results. Identify opportunities for improvement, plan and assist in implementing changes. Prepare monthly review book for senior management. Build up good business relationships with other divisions, departments and subsidiaries, and provide financial consulting and services. Review operational results with departments and make suggestions to improve business performance. Work with other corporate managers to improve business processes and procedures. Conduct advertising expense analysis to improve efficiency. Conduct CapEx analysis to better control CapEx expenditures and the approval process.
Provide input to support business decision-making and special projects. Participate in strategic business planning process. Conduct data analysis to assist In making significant business decisions, such as new business opportunities, organizational restructuring and compensation plans. Provide financial expertise on various projects.
Set up and maintain financial systems to improve efficiency. Work closely with outside consultants and in house experts from related departments to build and maintain financial systems. Train staff and new hires on new systems. Continuously learn new functions about the existing systems so that we can maintain the cutting-edge technologies needed to support business needs and improve efficiency.
Provide leadership and supervisory guidance to staff. Manage staff and provide guidance and support. Mentor staff to gain business and corporate experience. Schedule and conduct weekly, monthly updates and quarterly/annual reviews. Collect feedback from staff to improve my management skills and improve morale. Schedule training programs for staff to help them develop and build up their careers. Value and respect each other, build a good team and have fun while working hard.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
