Alaris Health at The Chateau – North & South Pavilio, a 251 bed-skilled nursing Center in Rochelle Park, New Jersey, seeks a senior certified nursing assistant to perform various resident care activities and related non-professional services that are essential to caring for residents’ personal needs and comfort levels. Additional responsibilities include:

• attending nursing and quality improvement meetings on a quarterly or as needed basis
• assisting the charge nurse in monitoring restorative care and other clinical program (e.g. bowel and bladder)
• gaining familiarity with new residents within 24 hours of their admission
• conducting periodic resident care and unit checks with appropriate documentation
• assessing equipment and supply needs and reporting findings to the appropriate report on a routine basis
• assisting in orienting, training and refreshing CNAs and promptly reporting any problems
• and above all, ensuring that residents and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently certified as a nursing assistant in the state of New Jersey
• Attend 12 hours of in-service training per year to maintain certification per New Jersey state regulations
• Able to read, write and understand the English language
• ability to perform essential job functions
• Ability to positively interact with everyone from residents to government agencies and the general public
• Possess strong leadership abilities
• History of demonstrating advanced organizational and technical skills
• Understanding of standard techniques used in providing personal services for residents and caring for equipment and supplies
• Good understanding of basic medical asepsis, sterile techniques and universal precautions to avoid infection of residents and self-contamination of equipment and supplies
