Due to the ongoing success of our industry leading Geo-environmental Engineering team we have a new exciting opportunities for Associate to Technical Executive-level professionals to join our growing team in any of our offices across Australia. You will be working across the civil, infrastructure and resource sectors developing and delivering engineered environmental solutions.

What you will do:


Associate to Senior Associate - Geo-Environmental Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative engineering solutions as part of an industry leading team.
  • Ensure delivery of complex and challenging projects related to geo-environmental engineering, major urban infrastructure works, waste and contamination management, mining, hazardous dams, and other multidisciplinary engineering works;
  • Play a key role in the development of technical documents (reports, specifications, drawings) for key clients throughout various project execution phases (concept, pre-feasibility, feasibility, detailed design, construction, operation, and decommissioning);
  • Maintain, build and further develop client relationships as part of project delivery and business development.
  • Ensure technical delivery of projects, including risk and quality management
  • Undertaking project management to deliver desired outcomes for key clients with a focus on repeat business;
  • Mentoring a team of exceptional junior engineers who thrive in the shared responsibility for project delivery
  • Supporting operation management to develop and execute strategies to achieve shared goals;

Desired skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental or Geotechnical Engineering, as well as 8-15+ years relevant experience within a consulting firm or similar;
  • Civil/environmental/geotechnical design experience related to management of subsurface environmental risks and in related areas such as geosynthetics, embankments and earthworks, surface water management;
  • Excellent written and communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate advice to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Strong project management capabilities;
  • Ability to lead a multidisciplinary projects;
  • Highly motivated, innovative and committed to technical excellence through project execution
  • Demonstrated project ownership, decision making and mentoring skills to enable development of junior and intermediate engineers.


Technical Executive - Geo-Environmental Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of innovative surface water design solutions for resource, transport, waste and renewable energy sector clients;
  • Oversee the delivery of technical documents (reports, specifications, drawings), prepared by an industry leading team of geo-environment design engineers and civil designers;
  • Build and maintain well established key client relationships with a focus on repeat business;
  • Lead and Mentor a team of exceptional junior, intermediate and senior engineers who thrive in the shared responsibility for project delivery; and
  • Partnering with operation management to develop and execute strategies to achieve shared goals.
  • Provide safety leadership in applying Safety in Design and identifying and alleviating / eliminating high priority safety hazards.

Desired skills and experience

  • Demonstrated leadership, decision making and mentoring skills to support development of junior, intermediate and senior engineers.
  • A track record and reputation of achievement with a focus on delivering surface water design packages through the execution phase of projects;
  • Highly motivated, innovative and committed to technical excellence throughout project execution
  • Ideally over 15 years of industry experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent, ideally with post graduate qualifications and other appropriate continuing education;
  • Chartered Engineering and/or Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland or demonstrated progress towards achievement;
  • Ability to lead and integrate into multidisciplinary projects;
