Overview:
Responsible for applying sound engineering principles, judgement and discipline in order to ensure the timely development of TDW products quote for technical applications solutions and troubleshooting to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provides support to sales process assists Commercial team in the preparation of technical TDW HT&P products quotes by using customers technical specifications, review technical product questions for a quote/tender (compatibility, compliance, capability).
- Completes technical feasibility assessment and detailed engineering reviews for all non-standard quotes, before they are sent to Engineer-To-Order
- Finds correct part number to use for the specific application
- Address inactive Build Of Materials and routes needed to make parts (and consider alternatives before submitting Technical Assistance Products form)
- Salesforce Other Part Number Types (OTH's) approvals for quotes
- Evaluates and offers solutions for obsolete or inactive part number
- Serves as technical interface with Engineer-To-Order, Technology Development and/or other applications engineers for engineered applications and troubleshooting.
- Maintains effective documentation of technical discussions with internal and external clients.
- Improves technical knowledge by reviewing technical papers/literature and attending appropriate seminars and workshops, looking for ways to apply the latest technology to TDW products.
Required Skills / Work Experience:
- Understanding of code requirements, reading drawings, providing calculations
- Knowledge of pipeline codes
- Strong collaborator
- Proficient in various engineering and CRM systems including Salesforce
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Completed technical feasibility assessments and detailed engineering reviews within pipeline industry.
- Fluent in English / intermediate to fluent in Spanish preferred
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering - Required
- Professional Engineering License - Preferred
