SENIOR ACCOUNTANT / ANALYST

Position Summary:

Our business is rapidly growing! Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Senior Accountant / Analyst to join our finance team supporting our sales groups, RED8 and 2NDGEAR as they approach combined revenue of $200M.

Red8 is a technology systems integrator partnering with market-leading OEMs and emerging tech companies. 2NDGEAR is sought after as one of the leading providers of off-lease certified IT equipment throughout the United States.

In this key position, the Senior Accountant / Analyst will play a pivotal role in our continued success and revenue growth!

What you'll be doing:

• Drive automation & streamlining of existing accounting procedures with the goal of implementing “best practices”.
• Provide stewardship over Sales Commissions data. Calculate and monitor sales performance including the measurement and payments related to individual sales goals/quotas/objectives.
• Identify and drive opportunities for process improvements to gain long term process efficiencies and more effective work-flow strategies. Develop audits and reporting to ensure compliance with the Sales Commission Plan.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
• Prepare month-end reporting packages for upper management.
• Research and perform analysis of change in general ledger account balances / analysis of month and year-end results for management.
• Develop and maintain financial models that will assist in analyzing performance results and develop insight on trends.
• Develop annual budgets and forecasts.
• Perform miscellaneous ad-hoc research and reporting

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• 2-3 years of public accounting preferred
• Strong research and analysis skills with the ability to communicate clearly in both financial and non-financial terms
• Strong understanding of accounting principles/GAAP
• Knowledge of revenue recognition and inventory valuation principles is a plus
• Proficiency with MS Excel utilizing advanced formulas, pivot tables, slicers, macros/VBA, charting
• Experience with Microsoft Great Plains or Business Central or other accounting systems software
