BDR is seeking a Security Architect to join our growing team! This position will be required to work on-site in Reston, VA. This position requires US Citizenship with an Active TS/SCI with CI Poly.

Role Overview:
The Security Architect will support the Defense Intelligence Agency.
Responsibilities:
- Work with CCO-4 Functional Managers and CIO Program Managers and vendors to identify and establish required security standards for each application
- Conduct outreach to other community organizations to identify external security standards
- Create talking points and white papers and other products to advise senior leadership on best practices and way forward with new development opportunities
- 'Evalue systems' compliance with IT security requirements and provides advice and guidance in implementing IT security policies and procedures in the development and operation of network systems
- Formulates policies and guidance based on an assessment of requirements not addressed in existing security directives and operations
- Create reports, guidance, and direction for the enhancement of security for such systems/networks
- Recommend and direct changes in network and system designs, plans, or documentation to ensure compliance with security polices
- Plan and advise on the implementation of new ideas, procedures, processes, methods or approaches of substantial scope and difficulty
- Serve as a representative on working groups with functional or multi-disciplinary emphasis that involve information assurance issues
- Plan and develop internal strategies and participates in meetings to provide security advice and assistance to resolve problems.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Information Systems, or other related disciplines ( 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education).
- US Citizen with an Active TS/SCI with CI/Poly.
- Security Certifications: SEC+, CISSP, etc.
- 5+ years of experience as a security architect
- Experience in information security, network security, security applications, and technologies
- Expertise in security practices that include the full administration of security control systems, vulnerability identification and mitigation, best practices for security/hardening, and risk analysis
- Experience in security design and architecture reviews o large applications, systems, and networks
- Experience as a Security Engineer.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
