Backstage Health, LLC is seeking for a School Nurse (RN) for a temporary contract at a great School in Ojai, CA.

*Assignment start date: 01/01/2023 - 04/07/2023, M-W and Fridays, 08:00am - 04:00pm.

The school RN will also provide health care services to students to treat injuries, and mild to acute sicknesses, manage student medication, and support students with chronic illnesses. You must possess good organizational skills and the ability to communicate well with other providers, teachers, and administrators as well as parents or guardians. Responsibilities

• Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness
• Develop health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities
• Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and hygiene
• Detect health problems in early stages through regular screenings
• Keep track of students’ vaccination records
• Update students’ medical history
• Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)
• Monitor students for changes in health status.
• Assure that procedures are provided under specific written procedures approved by the physician and requested by the patient.
• Work cooperatively with the school staff and the nursing personnel to provide health care as specified in the least disruptive manner to the educational process
