Solid LLC, is a Carpentry Subcontracting firm that has been in business for over 40 years. We do custom stick-built carpentry framing and finishing of larger, custom houses and smaller commercial buildings throughout the twin city area.
The majority of our business however, is remodeling. We do about 650 remodel jobs a year, from a small deck to tearing off a roof, adding another story to the house and putting the roof back on.
We have been in business 51 years have about 100 carpenters on payroll. All of the jobs are in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul metro area in Minnesota. If you live out of state you'll need to relocate.
We are looking for a residential Project Schedule Coordinator to help coordinate multiple residential construction projects.
JOB TITLE: Project Schedule Coordinator
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt (Full-Time, Monday through Friday; occasionally requires long hours and weekend work)
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The project coordinator works with all major teams of the organization (Sales, Operations, Finance) to coordinate the execution plan of all awarded projects, prepare tools and information for project management, and provide additional support to onboard subcontractors as needed as well as administrate subcontract work orders, and pay applications with our subcontracted workforce through information provided by our project managers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Reads and understands project scope and timeline
2. Managing awarded jobs on our project execution schedule
3. Communicating with customers, subcontractors, project managers, sales representatives, and all other appropriate stakeholders as necessary regarding updates or changes to project timelines or scope of work
4. Preparing tools (like SmartSheets project sheets) and information for the Project Managers to use while managing the projects
5. Assisting with the procurement of subcontracted labor if necessary
6. Setting up job starts or pre-construction meetings between project managers and subcontractors and ensure that all parties have necessary information
7. Writing and issuing work orders for subcontracted labor
8. Preparing and executing change orders as appropriate during job progress
9. Create subcontractor payment applications by communicating with project managers about the substantial percentage of completion for each subcontracted scope of work
10. Onboarding new subcontractors as needed by preparing documentation and obtaining signed copies and documentation back from those subcontractors
11. Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budget
12. Deepen partnership with external resources, vendors, and customers
13. Maintains dependable attendance and punctuality
14. Other duties as assigned by Project Manager and/or Operations Manager
