ASRC Federal is seeking a Satellite &NOC Engineer (Broadcast Engineer)

Overview:
Function as a Subject Matter Expert at the Global Broadcast Service (GBS) Operations Center supporting the 21st CS at Schriever SFB CO, Combatant Command (COCOM) Theater Information Managers (TIMs), and GBS Receive Suite users. Candidate will be responsible for system/network engineering and troubleshooting.
Defines network communications and designs and implements solutions within existing network. Provides problem resolution for all hardware and software elements of the data communication network and ensures the availability of the data network. Proposes solutions to management to provide all data communications requirements are based upon future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings.

This position is offering an annual salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. This position is offering a pay range of $60,100.00- $102,200.00 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Meet DoD 8570 certification (Security +) within three months of hire
• Active DoD Secret clearance

Required skills:

• Knowledge and experience supporting networked environments, VPN, TCP/IP routing concepts and basic networking such as DHCP, DNS, etc.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows desktop environments
• CompTIA Security + certified or able to become DoD 8570 compliant within 90 days of hire
• Experience working in multiple operating system environments
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks to a high standard in a high-pressure environment
• Demonstrates strong initiative, self-motivation, and commitment to the job
• Excellent written and oral communications skills

Desired skills:

• Prior experience operating and maintaining GBS Receive Suites and/or Satellite Broadcast Manager and/or deployable satellite systems
• Has working knowledge of LAN/WAN network and infrastructure operations
• Experience with, and understanding of GBS Satellite Broadcast Management traffic routing
• Customer service skills
• Prior experience with military/DISA organizational circuit/network status reporting
• Possess hands-on experience with network architecture, LAN and multicast traffic
• Help Desk experience
• Experience using Active Directory
• Experience in Microsoft SQL Server principles
