Piccolinos Haircuts is looking for a bilingual (english/spanish speaking) Salon Receptionist to act as the first point of contact for customers who visit our salon, or that call to book appointments or learn more about our services.

Salon Receptionist responsibilities include greeting customers upon their arrival, answering clients’ questions about services via phone or in person, booking appointments and processing transactions. To be successful in this role, you should be highly organized and able to manage clients with grace, even during peak demand.

Ultimately, you will help maintain our exceptional reputation by building friendly, trusting relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet clients, check them in on the computer and inform assigned beauticiansof their arrival
• Book and confirm appointments via phone
• Process transactions (credit cards only) and issue receipts
• Offer beverages and chat with clients who are in the waiting area
• Welcome walk-ins, answer questions about services and schedule appointments based on availability
• Inform clients about new services and discounts
• Cross-sell services and products when appropriate
• Update client records with contact and billing details, appointments and services offered
• Maintain a tidy reception area
• Keep track of supplies and inform owner of any supplies needed
• Assist stylists with cleaning stations after a haircut when we're running behind schedule
• Help cleanup salon with the team at the end of the day
• Restock capes and towel bins every morning
• Take child photo at the end of the 1st haircut experience, prepare certificate and provide stylist with bag to keep hair for the "First Haircut Certificate"

Requirements and skills

• Proven work experience as a Salon Receptionist, Front Desk Representativeor similar role (PREFERRED)
• Hands-on experience with office equipment, like printers and POS systems
• Familiarity with processing transactions
• Excellent communication abilities (verbal, phone and email) with a customer service attitude
• Proficient english and spanish (reading, writing, speaking, listening)
• Solid organization and record-keeping skills
• An ability to remain calm under stressful circumstances
• High School diploma

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
