Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University. - This position provides perioperative nursing care for patients having surgery through Einstein's regional cardiac surgery program.
- Functions with competence in all aspects of the Operating Room RN role, both as a scrub and circulating nurse.
- The position includes assignments and participation on-call for the regional program.
- This position requires providing service to adult through frail elderly, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional and developmental age of the individual served.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current Pennsylvania RN license, active and in good standing is required.
- CPR certification through the American Heart Association required.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in Operating Room nursing and 1 year in Cardiac Surgery which includes Minimally Invasive techniques.
- Computer literacy required. CNOR preferred.
- Successful completion of a skills based test required
