Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate fellow ship trained Rheumatologist to join our team of three physicians in Sugar Land, TX. As a Rheumatologist, you will provide specialized care for patients with rheumatic diseases, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of various autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and examinations to diagnose and treat rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, vasculitis, and other related conditions.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's individual needs, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and other appropriate interventions.
• Perform joint injections, aspirations, and other rheumatologic procedures as needed.
• Provide patient education and counseling on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including primary care physicians, other specialists, and allied health professionals, to provide coordinated and holistic care to patients.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements and research in the field of rheumatology through continuous medical education and professional development.
• Provide excellent patient care with a compassionate and patient-centered approach, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Rheumatology fellowship program.
• Board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology.
• Valid Texas medical license
• Excellent clinical skills in diagnosing and managing rheumatic diseases.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to providing high-quality and patient-centered care.
