Our business is currently looking for a part-time retail sales associate to be an integral part of our growing Montclair store. You will be responsible selling products and customer service, general merchandising, restocking and helping to maintain a clean and sanitary shopping experience for our customers.

Who are we?

Dry Goods Refillery is a NJ’s FIRST plastic free grocery located in Montclair, NJ. We have a team of young, motivated, friendly employees who are just as eager about helping our customers navigate our store, as they are about helping the planet.

In our store customers are encouraged to bring their own containers and are able to take as much or as little of each product as they wish. We exclusively partner with sustainable and local makers and food creators, minimizing our plastic waste and carbon footprint whenever possible. We help to educate our customers about how to make small daily changes to help the greater good when it comes to sustainability and unnecessary trash.

Who are you?

Someone who enjoys/excels at:

• Socially interacting with customers and identifying their purchasing needs in a friendly and approachable manner.
• Explaining our products and guiding customers through the refill process.
• Re-stocking shelves and managing inventory on the sales floor. Detail oriented.
• Working in a fast paced, start up environment. Interest in sustainability and the environment a plus, but not required.
• Hard working, with a positive attitude. Shows initiative and eagerness to go above and beyond to get the job done.

Qualifications:

• MUST be available to work 15-20+ hours a week.
• Weekday and weekend shifts required.
• Ability to build rapport with customers in a friendly, approachable way
• Customer experience, retail experience or general merchandising experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Square POS a plus.
• Ability to lift/carry up 40lb on a regular basis up and down stairs, occasionally 50lb or more.
