Restaurant Assistant Manager
Job description
Mangoni Italian Market, a busy Downtown Winter Garden restaurant, is looking for an assistant manager.
As the restaurant’s Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager and the other Management Team. The Restaurant Management Team ensures that we promote a positive, memorable experience to every customer. This starts with our foundation for our business, trust, respect, and teamwork. As the Assistant Manager, you are expected to perform at the highest level when it comes to customer service, brand representation, cleanliness, and efficiency.
Some of the key responsibilities are hiring, training, and developing a strong team of associates. Ensuring a smooth execution of store operations and creating a great environment for customer and associates.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Assist the General Manager with developing and implementing action plans for improvements of the operations
· Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations
· Training and development opportunities
· Communicate and model the core values of the restaurant,
· Create a sense of teamwork among associates
· Provides feedback, making recommendations regarding new items or items to be removed
· Conducts interviews and hiring associates on their enthusiasm, personality, and professionalism
· Assists General Manager with achieving the store payroll
· Supervises the day-to-day operations of their team,
· Notifying immediate management promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters
· Ensures direct reports complete assigned responsibilities in a timely and effective manner
· Controls product quality, service quality, general maintenance
· Polite, friendly, and helpful to the guests, and employee
· Executes emergency procedures
· Complies with safety regulations and procedures
· Ensuring all employees are maintaining their work areas are clean and organized
· Ability to recognize and focus on details ensuring products consistently meet quality standards
