The Global Model Risk & Risk Governance Department within the Risk Department is responsible for the model risk management for the Natixis Group. The ED-level Head of Quality Assurance at the Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking Americas (“the Americas”) will be responsible for best-practice model governance activities and Quality Assurance consistent with the Natixis Group Governance Program and SR11-7 and will report directly to the Head of the CUSO Model Risk Management (MRM). The scope of this role will cover model risk policies and procedures, control design and effectiveness, quality of model validations, ongoing model monitoring, and liaison with LOD1.


His/her/their responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a robust model risk governance framework
  • Assess compliance with the model risk management policies, procedures, standards, and templates
  • Conduct periodic quality assurance assessments of CUSO model validations against Natixis MRM policies and SR11-7
  • Assess the effectiveness of the controls around model risk management processes
  • Assist in other model governance activities at Natixis
  • Liaison with LOD1 on controls around model development, implementation, model use, and ongoing monitoring
  • Facilitate and support internal audit, regulatory exams, and internal controls
  • Support relationship with regulators and internal audit
  • Stay abreast of the regulatory developments and industry best practices
  • Adhere to the MRM policy, procedures, and handbooks


Profil et compétences requises


Master’s in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or other quantitative field required/ Ph.D. in one of these quantitative fields preferred
10+ years of relevant experience, ideally in model governance, model validation, or model risk audit
Knowledge of regulatory reforms impacting financial institutions’ trading activities and strong understanding of current regulatory framework, as well as proposed changes
Broad expertise in project management and stakeholder coordination across multi-program environments
Proficiency in Excel, Access, InfoPath, PowerPoint
Familiarity with large databases and data management software packages
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact and work closely with business stakeholders at all levels of seniority
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
