Job description
CCV is looking for a Resource Access Manager to direct CCV programs designed to mitigate barriers that may prevent students from meeting their basic needs and achieving academic goals. The Resource Access Manager plays a key role in developing interventions addressing basic needs insecurity among students, cultivating partnerships with key community partners, and developing plans that connect students to college and community resources.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as well as independently and be committed to supporting students with meeting their basic needs. This position requires flexibility, strong computer skills, solid decision-making abilities, a positive attitude, and the ability to support a wide spectrum of student needs in-person and virtually. This position is contingent of receipt of continued funding.
Job Summary:
The Resource Access Manager directs CCV programs designed to mitigate barriers that may prevent students from meeting their basic needs and achieving academic goals. The Resource Access Manager plays a key role in developing interventions addressing basic needs insecurity among students, cultivating partnerships with key community partners, and developing plans that connect students to college and community resources. This role manages CCV’s Student Resources Centers, ensures sufficient management of Life Gap Plus, and organizes social programming that helps marginalized students create social connections at the College.
Essential Functions:
Oversees the development of resources, programs, events, and services to support students’ basic needs.
Establishes regional and statewide collaborative partnerships with business entities, community organizations, non-profits, and local educational agencies pertaining to student basic needs.
Coordinates with other College teams to connect in-need students to available services.
Participates in the development and implementation of goals, priorities, and processes for the basic needs and student single parent program areas; works with leadership and across departments to research, implement, and administer policies and processes.
Coordinates with the Vermont Foodbank to recruit, train, and deploy Student Ambassadors within the 3SquaresVT peer-to-peer outreach model.
Provides training, information, assistance, and referrals regarding the basic needs and single parent program areas to internal and external constituents.
Develops promotional and informational materials for distribution to both internal and external stakeholders.
Utilizes reports, outcomes, and generated data to identify service gaps and works with applicable internal and external partners to bridge gaps between student needs and available resources.
Develops systems and procedures to ensure the appropriate referral of and documentation of complex, interrelated files containing private student information.
Monitors the program budgets and expenditures; makes recommendations regarding allocation of resources and expenditure of funds; ensures that fund spending and purchases are consistent with grant stipulations, community partnership agreements, College and VSCS policies, and applicable guidelines.
Implements and ensures that all grant and partnership agreements are met; ensures activities and operations comply with grant requirements.
Organizes, and coordinates the activities and services of the Student Resource centers.
Perform other related duties as required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, education, or related field.
Experience: Three years of experience

- Ability to present to community organizations, students, private partners, and related groups concerning the basic needs and single student parent’s programs.
- Ability to maintain program budget and expenditure oversight.
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and helpful manner to students in distress and/or in need of assistance.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, faculty, staff and the community.
- Ability to understand student needs and make appropriate and timely referrals.
Preferred* Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: *
- Knowledge of student services policies, procedures, and practices in higher and/or K-12 education.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and apply College and VSCS policies.

Physical Requirements: Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties as a result of repetitive motion and/or long periods of standing or sitting. Duties require little physical effort in work with light to moderate (up to 25lbs) easy-to-handle materials.
Working Conditions: Job is performed in general office or comparable working area with many and frequent distractions such as noise and interruptions. Work schedule may vary during high volume periods. Statewide travel is required.
