How you can make an Impact

Our Residential Service Program offers a continuum of housing for the acutely and chronically mentally ill with supervised residences. Our purpose is to help those suffering from severe mental illness to live in the least restrictive setting that is compatible with their level of functioning. As a Residential Counselor in our Adult Residential Program, you will provide for the safety and security of adult clients within the residential setting by promoting a healthful and supportive environment. Assist with skills training and daily living responsibilities. Uphold ethical standards in accordance with the Social Work Code of Ethics. Work closely with the residential nurse, supervisor and director in the implementation of adult individualized rehabilitation treatment goals. Collaborate with Acenda team members and external supports to enhance independence.

Residential Counselor Qualifications

• Minimum requirement is a High school diploma or equivalent, plus four years related mental health experience.
• Preferred is a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a mental health, health or other appropriate human services related discipline with knowledge of and experience with the chronic mentally ill adult population.
• Professionalism and a commitment to excellence in care
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Schedules Available:

1. Saturday to Wednesday 8:00am-4:00pm, Thursday and Friday off

2. Wednesday to Sunday 4:00pm-12:00am, Monday and Tuesday off

3. Friday to Tuesday 4:00pm-12:00am, Wednesday and Thursday off

4. Friday 8:00am-4:00pm, Saturday to Tuesday 4:00pm-12:00am, Wednesday and Thursday off

5. Thursday to Saturday 4:00pm-12:00am, Sunday to Wednesday off
