Douglas Gardens CMHC has full-time Residential Assistant position available at its Miami Beach Residence, Mayfair. Primary responsibilities include assisting residents with housing related needs, responds appropriately to resident and building/property emergencies, and assists in maintaining a safe and drug-free environment. Douglas Gardens CMHC provides mental health services to the adult population.

Job Duties:

• Conduct hourly rounds of the facility to ensure safety of the residents and compliance of house rules. Document in log book.
• Ensure visitors are informed of and comply with house rules.
• Inform maintenance of needed repairs.
• Address resident requests, complaints, and concerns in a timely and courteous manner.
• Maintain the front desk to ensure coordination of mail delivery, phone calls, and messages.
• Assist residents as appropriate in maintaining clean rooms, laundry, and general household management.
• Assist and report emergency situations in a timely manner.
• Provide clinical staff with any necessary information related to treatments goals of residents.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Availability to work schedule as listed below.
• Previous experience working with behavioral health consumers preferred.
• Ability to pass a level 2 background screening
• Drug free workplace

Weekly Schedule:

• Sunday morning, 8:00am-4:30pm
• Sunday overnight, 11:55pm-8:30am
• Tuesday evening, 4:00pm-12:30am
• Wednesday evening, 4:00pm-12:30am
• Thursday evening, 4:00pm-12:30am
