Position Description:
Projects Inc. is seeking an FAA Repair Station and Assembly Technician to join our team. We manufacturer complex small machined components for the Aerospace and Power Systems industries with an FAA n EASA approved Repair Station for the maintenance and alteration of thermocouples and an FAA Assembly Department. The qualified candidate will have responsibilities in both the Repair and Assembly Departments. In the Repair station the candidate will perform thermocouple repair tasks and in the Assembly Department they will assemble instruments such as: Thermocouples, Kiel Probes and Pitot Static tubes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform various tasks in the process of repairing thermocouples by following written work instructions.
- Disassemble and assemble thermocouples.
- Complete easy circuit wiring.
- Measure loop resistance by utilizing impedance meters.
- Measure insulation resistance by utilizing Megohmmeters.
- Assemble small parts using a variety of methods including sanders, welders, and multiple hand tools.
- Performs welding and brazing on small parts.
- Comply with policies, procedures, and regulatory FAA guidelines.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Welding training. Formal or on-the-job training
- Hand Torch Brazing training. Formal or on-the-job training
- Must be able to be certified to Weld and/or Braze
- Knowledge of temperature and pressure measuring instruments is required
- Good dexterity and attention to detail
- Experience with assembling very small parts and working with magnification
- Ability to read blueprints to assemble and test products
- Ability to work as a team player
- Minimum 2 years of experience is required
- Ability to use measuring tools; calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Understanding of lean concepts
- Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for the duration of the day.
Some lifting – up to 20 lbs. is required.

Pre-employment

Collected specimens will be sent to a federally certified laboratory and tested for evidence of marijuana, cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, PCP, benzodiazepines, methadone, methaqualone, propoxyphene use, and specimens may be tested for other illegal drug(s) and/or legal cannabis.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
