The Repack Operator is responsible for hand depalletizing product, repacking product in the appropriate configuration, hand palletizing product as it is repacked and delivering product via an electric pallet jack or forklift to appropriate warehousing location for staging a safe and efficient manner. This position is generally scheduled for 40 hours; more hours may be required based on the needs of the business

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs hand stacking and repacking of product to meet customer standards in a safe and efficient manner.
• Safely operate forklift and perform all tasks necessary to ensure high quality of product handling within the facility. Immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
• Frequently lift product that weighs up to 30 pounds.
• Work safely and effectively as a team in a fast paced environment to meet customer expectations.
• Keep product rotated by date and code for quality purposes. Identify products by labels and date codes and stage for repackaging.
• Communicate with the Warehouse Supervisor/Lead on any potential or existing problems that could adversely affect customer satisfaction.
• Report food safety problems and initiating action and for support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality.
• Maintain housekeeping, GMP’s, and safety within the facility.
• Perform any or all of the duties and responsibilities of a Forklift Operator as needed.
• Perform all other duties as needed or as requested by management.
• Requirements

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED Preferred.

Previous Experience Requirement:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 6 months operating an electric pallet jack or forklift and/or a history of physical nature roles preferred
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing/warehousing setting preferred

• Ability to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to meet or exceed established repacked cases per day goals.
• Must be qualified to operate a forklift.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Mathematical aptitude sufficient to perform the duties of the position.

Seeing: Must be able to read documents and X use office and other equipment.

Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to X communicate with internal and external contacts.

Standing/Walking/Mobility/Lifting: Must be mobile and be able to travel/navigate throughout X the facility. Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to climb, stoop, or kneel to perform routine tasks X within the scope of job.

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to X write, type, and use office equipment.

Environmental Conditions: Must be able to work in environments that may include, but are X not restricted to, cold, heat, draft, fumes or various combinations of same.
