DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, the Rehabilitative Services Aide reports to the therapists of a particular service and provides both direct and indirect patient care services. Primary functions include assisting with selected patient treatments under the direct supervision of a PT /OT/SLP, patient ambulation, departmental and equipment maintenance, clerical duties, scheduling and other activities as directed.

The Rehabilitation Services Aide works primarily with adult and geriatric patients from a diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, although pediatric and adolescent patients may also be treated. May be assigned to flex or float between sites, clinical areas in inpatient or outpatient care as well as weekend/holiday coverage as needed. Actively participates in departmental and organizational programs, including performance improvement activities, in services and staff development activities. Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of two (2) years of related experience or education/training.

  • Skills, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Volunteer or paid experience in a rehabilitation, medical or health related setting.
  • Previous education in Kinesiology, Athletic Training or Movement Science and Anatomy.
  • Experience in customer service.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $46,646 - $58,026 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $22.34 - $27.79

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).



Job offer is contingent on successful engagement in the UC COVID-19 Vaccination program (fully vaccinated with documented proof or approved exception/deferral).
