RN Per Diem – Opportunity!

Join our team! This is a Per Diem RN position in a fast paced, fun environment, with the potential for growth. Some requirements are organization, able to multi-task, prior knowledge of medial record software and be a team player. This position would only be when needed for covering time off and vacations. You must be flexible and available when needed.

SPCA is a brand-new state of the art surgical center offering a wide range of minimally invasive pain management procedures. Procedures include interspinous space placement (Vertiflex), Sacroiliac Joint Fusion, the Mild procedure, DiscSeel, Tenjet, Spinal Cord Implant (percutaneous/paddle) and Regenerative Medicine (PRP and Bone Marrow Derived Stem Cells). The procedures are fluoroscopic, and ultrasound guided.

Duties to include:

• Entry of procedures in Medical Records, preoperative and post operative calling, pre procedure antibiotic preparation, and intravenous cannulation.
• Assessment of the patient to include interview, observation, and selective physical examination.
• Completes delegated patient and family teaching including providing the patient and/or family information about consents, specific procedures, discharge education, and follow up appointments.
• Observation of patient preoperatively and post operatively, to include procedure site and vitals assessments.
• Anticipates and recognizes nursing and/or medical problems which may arise and initiates preventative measures.
• Beginning and end of day assigned tasks for successful operation of pre/post areas.
