Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) seeking a rewarding opportunity in the education sector? ProCare Therapy is currently hiring an experienced and compassionate RN to provide exceptional care to students in a 1:1 caseload at a school in Stoneham, MA, for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year.

Position Overview: As a School RN, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to an assigned student with special needs on a 1:1 basis. Your primary goal will be to ensure the health and well-being of the student, promote a safe and inclusive environment, and collaborate with the school staff, parents, and medical professionals to develop and implement appropriate healthcare plans.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students based on medical and educational needs.
• Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, and emergency response.
• Monitor and document student's health status and progress regularly.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including teachers, therapists, and parents, to ensure the implementation of appropriate healthcare interventions.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, providing updates on the student's health and addressing any concerns or questions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
• Follow all applicable state and federal regulations, as well as school policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
• Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
• Experience with students with special needs and knowledge of IEPs/504 plans is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.

Contract Details:

• Employment Type: Full-time, contracted position for the 2023-2024 school year.
• Caseload: 1:1 assignment with a student requiring specialized nursing care.
