Center at Cordera is looking for Registered Dietitian to join our team!

Job Description:

Under general supervision this position is responsible for providing optimal nutritional care to patients, which compiles with all state regulations and the standards of care in the dietetic profession.

Responsible for the medical nutrition therapy of patient/residents; nutritional assessment, nutrition care plans, patient visitation, inpatient/outpatient diet counseling, consults regarding advance nutrition support, as well as assist in other areas related to the Food and Nutrition Services Department

Position details:

· Day Shift

· Full Time

· Mon-Fri, occasional weekends

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Collaborates with physician and nursing to deliver quality nutrition care.

· Performs nutritional assessments and nutrition screens, which are appropriate and timely per established policies and procedure.

· Develops nutrition care plans and monitors patient response to care plan developed.

· Provides diet consultations as ordered by physicians.

· Visits patients with special dietary needs.

· Instructs outpatient, teaches classes and conducts in-services, as required.

· Provides inpatient discharge diet instructions.

· Documents clinical productivity and keeps thorough updated information on patient profile.

· Attends meetings and Food Nutritional Services department meetings/calls.

· Provides billing for patient nutritional services.

· Provides needed in-services as assigned.

· Answers telephone and provide copies as needed.

Education/Experience:

· Degree in Nutrition or related curriculum such as human nutrition, nutrition education, foods and nutrition, or public health nutrition.

· Hold licensure and registration as a Dietitian

• Preferred that applicant have at least 1 year dietary and/or food preparations experience in a skilled care facility
• Must have good communication skills and be able to read, write and speak the English language

About Us

The Center at Cordera is a skilled and rehabilitation facility providing patients with physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy as well as short term stay skilled nursing needs. Skilled services include wound care, IV antibiotic therapy, managing comorbidities such as diabetes congestive heart failure and respiratory failure. The Center at Cordera provides care for patients who have elective orthopedic surgery, mechanical falls, and dementia.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
