Summary of Responsibilities
Handle complex claims independently. This includes Construction Defect, General Liability Property Damage and Bodily Injury claims. Utilize current Claims technology. Research and formulate a basis on which coverage decisions will be made, conduct thorough investigations, evaluate damages and liability. Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys. Advanced understanding of applicable policies and endorsements and special technical knowledge. This includes understanding of contracts, additional insured endorsements, indemnification agreements, and risk transfer. Responsible for active file management, ensuring files are adequately reserved, writing reservation of rights and coverage denials, and presentation of claims to committee. Provide consistent leadership both inside and outside of the team. Serve as a trainer and subject matter expert for the entire division. Consistently exhibit a high level of customer service and adherence to department best practices.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance or related field
Associate in Claims designation
