Description:General Purpose
Under the supervision and guidance of the Athletic Coordinator, the Youth Basketball Referee is responsible for officiating youth basketball games for Boys & Girls Clubs Sonoma – Marin.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Must have familiarity with the rules of basketball
- Be able to communicate with Coaches to get games started promptly
- Ability to run for extended amounts of time
- Must be able to communicate schedule conflicts with supervisor
- Able to remain calm in a stressful competitive atmosphere
- Display strong “on court” presence
- Be confident in verbal and hand gesture calls
Requirements:
- Visual and auditory ability to observe and to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.
- Ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills. Ability to jog, run, stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Ability to climb, push, and pull.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.85 per hour
