She expanded into a bigger location earlier year and wishes to find people to grow with the company at our now three locations. We strive to provide the best grooms for our customers and a plethora of fun options for additional services. Animals are our main priority and we do all we can to provide them with happiness from our grooming, boarding, and daycare services.

Job description

We are looking to hire a part time receptionist able to work Monday, Thursday, Friday, and the occasional Sunday (12pm-3pm). The Salon is open from 10am-5pm Monday through Saturday.
W-2 position starting at $13 an hour with room for growth and raises. Bridge toll will be paid for.
No experience needed - can learn on the job. Experience with scheduling, sales, or retail is preferred. Knowledge of Square POS is a plus.
Must be able to be patient and caring with all dog breeds as well as customers.
Applicant should not expect to “play” with dogs all day as this is a time-sensitive position that helps the grooming shop run smoother for the groomers.
Applicant must be outgoing, knowledgeable of retail area, offers/sales, personable on the phone and bubbly personality a plus.
Applicant will be expected to clean and tidy up frequently in the main area when times
get slow.
We use only quality products and are a drama-free salon.

Job Overview: Answer phones, schedule appointments using software system, return voicemails, check-in/out clients. Assist customers with selecting from our large range of retail options. Help move animals in and out of the grooming areas. Assist groomers/bathers as needed.

Duties Include but are Not Limited To:

· Creating and Rescheduling Appointments

· Answering Emails in a timely manner

· Notifying possible clients of everything offered

· Taking payment

· Checking in/out clients in an orderly fashion and timely manner

· Accommodating and understanding the amount of appointments available per groomer/bather

· Inputting and maintaining necessary grooming and vaccination information

· Maintaining an adequate level of grooming shop supplies and boutique retail

· Ensure that the entrance and boutique are regularly cleaned

· Greet all visitors to the practice; greet clients and patients by name as they arrive for appointments and notify technical staff when they arrive. Monitor wait times and make accommodations as necessary during peak/busy times

Special Skills/Training:

· Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers

· Ability to effectively handle all pets being groomed in a safe, quick and humane manner

· Proficient computer and phone skills preferred

· Must be friendly, outgoing, “people oriented”, and have a sense of humor

· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Must be compassionate and sympathetic, and be able to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor

Physical Requirements: Regular bending, lifting of small items and kneeling.
