The receptionist is an office or administrative support position and is responsible for the operation of the switchboard and paging system. He/she answers all incoming calls, redirecting them as needed. The Receptionist greets visitors and gives directions to residents, and visitors, and supports clerical activities.

Responsibilities

• As the Receptionist, you are responsible for providing a warm, responsive interaction between the facility and customers, meeting the specific administrative needs of residents and families, and providing full support to the Directors.

• This position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism to ensure satisfaction. As the primary point of contact for families, vendors, staff members, residents, etc.

• Collate medical charts under the Supervision of the Administrator

• Maintains current list of residents by name and room number, list of telephone numbers for all personnel, list of department extensions, names of key personnel and their extension numbers, and mail cards.

• The ability to handle incoming and outgoing calls efficiently. Maintaining correspondence, reports, and organizing and copying documents as needed.

• Performs other duties as requested.

Educational Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Computer Literacy

Experience with medical terminology is preferred.
