The Real Estate Processor is a direct hire position working for HGA in the Baton Rouge, LA area.
REAL ESTATE PROCESSOR SUMMARY:
This position is a Section 3 covered position under the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. Section 3 residents are encouraged to apply. The purpose of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968 is to ensure that preference for employment opportunities generated from the expenditure of HUD funds is directed to local low and very low-income persons, particularly those who receive federal housing assistance. All qualified applicants will be considered but may not necessarily receive an interview. Due to the large volume of submissions received by this office, information concerning application and/or interview status cannot be provided. Selected applicants will be contacted for next steps in the interview process. Applicants who are not selected may not receive notification. REAL ESTATE PROCESSOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
REAL ESTATE PROCESSOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with homeowners to acquire and confirm financial and personal data.
- Abstract titles to find liens and judgements attached.
- Prepare CD/HUD documents.
- Verify mortgages and obtain payoffs.
- Examine chain of title for last 10 years and report findings.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience, required
- Must have experience processing titles, abstracts, mortgages, insurance claims or federal grants.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience, preferred
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Work experience with FEMA, CDBG, or other disaster recovery programs is preferred.
- Candidate must be located within daily commuting distance from Baton Rouge, LA.
