We are currently seeking a full-time QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR to join our team.

Job Description:

We are actively hiring a Quality Control Inspector for the 1st Shift Monday thru Friday. Experienced competent Quality Control Inspectors must be highly skilled, able to work with great concentration and precision. Must be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines. Having a keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are essential. The goal is to produce high-quality parts and materials by programming machines to perform the right operations

Duties:

  • Perform visual and mechanical inspection using measurement and test equipment such as: calipers, micrometers, pin gages, bore gages, height gage, angle protractor and optical comparator.
  • Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendor, in-process parts being manufactured, and outgoing products for shipping.
  • Read blueprints, plans and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T
  • Functional knowledge of metrology
  • Initiate and act on discrepancy / non-conformance as necessary
  • Conduct internal investigations on root cause of non-conformance/ failure, and finding disposition of non-conformance.
  • Develop, and implement procedures for technical processes to increase process control efficiency.
  • Assure that the documentation of the quality system is controlled, maintained and recorded in a manner consistent with the requirements of ISO9001-2015 and DMC Power quality requirements.
  • Maintain database systems used to document quality functions.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of ERP systems highly preferred.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of tooling / hydraulics strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of power/utility industry and/or substation projects highly preferred.
  • 1 - 3 years of quality control inspection or manufacturing inspection experience required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Overtime
