Purpose:
Responsible for ensuring that Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union’s security interests in vehicles and other secured loans are perfected. At the direction of department manager, responsible for audit functions within the department to include but not limited to indirect loan verifications and scanned image verification as well as being the primary liaison for departmental special projects.
Position also supports outbound loan marketing campaigns involving multi- media contact with members and prospective members.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the process of perfecting Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union’s security interest in automobiles, recreational vehicles, and any other secured loans.
- Responsible for the audit functions of the department to include but not limited to indirect loan verifications and scanned image verification
- Responsible for contacting indirect members in relation to the verification process to offer additional products and services of the Credit Union.
- At the direction of department manager, responsible for preparing and processing loan modification agreements/ACH forms/lien releases and other lending related forms
- Responsible for working the paid off loan report and performing necessary duties as they relate to paid off loans
- Responsible for contacting members from the paid off loan report to attempt to recapture or replace loan.
- Answer inquires via telephone, email, mail and/or in person.
- Assist other department employees by helping maintain proper surveillance and security over applications being processed and funds being disbursed.
- Performs other projects or duties as assigned by department management.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Scan completed loan packages in a timely manner and assist others in the department on an as needed basis to complete same or other assigned tasks.
- On an as needed basis participate in offsite functions as a representative of the credit union.
- Perform other duties as required by Management.

Education and Training:
- High School Diploma.
- On an annual basis is required to complete mandatory Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and Red Flag Identity Theft training.
Prior Experience:
- 1-3 years of similar or related experience, with at least 1 year in lending. Prior credit union or financial institution experience preferred.
- Prior sales experience helpful

Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
Other Special Skills and Abilities:
- Strong working knowledge of all FBFCU products and services.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics or situations.
- Must be willing to reach out and call members to solicit loan business.
- Strong proficiency with all Microsoft applications.
- General knowledge of credit union lending policies and procedures (internal).
