Smith & Wollensky Steakhouse located in the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian Resort & Casino is seeking a receiving steward.

The Steward duties consist of the following but not limited to:

• receiving and storing of orders
• placing orders for food and kitchen supplies
• daily and weekly inventories of food items
• working with the butcher in storing and rotating beef and butchered products
• cleaning and organizing of all BOH storage areas
• Supporting the opening Chef in execution of daily operations, ensuring all production schedules, quality controls and facility needs are met.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years kitchen/cooking experience in a fine dining food service restaurant

• Must be able to deal with all vendors and co-workers in a courteous & professional manner
• Maintain a polished professional appearance
• Strong sense of urgency

• Butchery and Broiler experience a plus
• Written and verbal comprehension of English language
• Basic computer skills
• Basic mathematical skills
