Position: PUMP TECHNICIAN

REPORTS TO: BRANCH MANAGER

B. JOB SUMMARY:

Break down and clean downhole pumps, tubing anchors and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner, using the appropriate tools.

C. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Break down pumps in need of repair, using electric drills, friction wrenches, buffers, steamers, and other equipment as needed.
• Use steam, appropriate solvents and equipment such as the Bead Blaster to clean pump and anchor parts.
• Clean and shelve parts that are acceptable for re-use.
• Assist delivery drivers with loading/unloading.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

D. ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS:

Regardless of other duties, a Pump Technician has a responsibility to follow Lufkin Don-Nan production, safety, and quality procedures.

E. REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work weekends and be rotational on-call schedule to meet customer need
• Education and Training: High School education or equivalent or as deemed sufficient by management
• Technical Requirements: Mechanical Aptitude. Ability to operate or use necessary equipment. Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Clean driving record. Basic knowledge of oil and gas industry.
• Experience: At least one-year experience, or as deemed sufficient by management
