RHD Glassport LTSR is a long-term structured residential program serving eligible adult males between the ages 18 to 65 who are residents of Allegheny County and have been diagnosed with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder. Residents also have a forensic history.

Psych rehabilitation workers, under the supervision of the Psych Rehab Specialist and Site Supervisor, will assist participants to choose, acquire, and maintain the skills they need to successfully transition from using skills-based and strength-based techniques. Psych rehab facilitators (PRF) will assist program residents with acquiring the skills to live in the community independently through modeling, practicing, and teaching.

********Currently hiring Full-time and Part-time direct care workers for the evening and overnight shift, rotaing schedule including some weekend days and holidays. Staff are paid a premium rate for holiday coverage. RHD Glassport has 12 holidays per calendar year. FT benefit package includes 17 vacation days, 5 sick days and 12 paid holidays.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Promote principles of recovery and psychiatric rehabilitation with program residents and staff.
• Provide skill-building services
• Utilize motivational interviewing to effectively identify the member's strengths, needs, motivation, triggers, and goals in managing life circumstances.
• Facilitate daily group and individual psych rehab activities for program residents
• Document daily shift notes and group notes within the electronic medical record system.
• Complete all other assigned tasks as designated by Psych Rehab Specialist and program leadership.

Required Experience

12 semester hours of college training in a mental health related field or

A high school diploma or equivalency and 6 months of formal training in mental health or a related field
