Bennett Aerospace*, Inc. has an opening for a highly motivated Project Manager to join the Program Management Office. This position is located in Vicksburg, MS. The successful candidate will serve as a full-time Project Manager responsible for assisting with the planning, directing, and coordinating activities of assigned contracts to ensure goals or objectives of contract(s) statement of work and deliverables are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters, as well as the profitability goals of the company.

Background Information on work performed*: Perform research in all areas such as: Physical Model Development, Scaled Modeling, Computer Aided Design of Models, Hydrodynamic/Hydrologic Models, Planning Based Models, Web Based Numerical Modeling, In Situ Data Collection and Field Support, USACE specified training involving numerical models and data collection, Ship Simulation, Predictive Systems and Machine Learning, Program Management Support and Technology Transfer, Data Fusion, and Wildfire Relevant Technologies and Support. Personnel should also be capable of readily participating in and understanding related activities; theoretical studies; laboratory and field experimental work; computational modeling; remote sensing imagery acquisition and processing; serving as instructors at technology transfer classes.
Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities/Duties:

Responsible for managing the cost, schedule, and performance of assigned government contracts
- Directs and provides leadership to contractor and sub-contractor teams working with government programs in accordance with existing procedures, applicable laws, and government requirements.
- Understand and outline the work plan, duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority for each project
- Responsible for generating monthly status reports, funding updates, and other activity reports as required by the contract
- Ensure project is operating within the scope outlined in the contract
- Monitor all financial costs for each contract and provide updated program financial status reports and metrics to the Program Manager
- Implements government programs through a risk and oversight approach for all phases of program activities; identifies risks and problems, proposes solutions, and provides timely and accurate contract deliverables.
- Ensure adequate administration/support services are being met for on-site staff
- Revise and follow Project Management Plans and best business practices, as required
- Work with Human Resources to arrange for recruitment of additional project staff as needed
- Maintain a positive and open relationship with customer(s) and on-site staff ensuring responsiveness to both
- Communicate with customer(s) for performance evaluation criteria and feedback
- Assist with conducting performance evaluations and quality control of project staff
- Coordinate and assist with project transition and phase in tasks
- Facilitate project safety and quality plans
- Periodically confer with on-site project personnel and supervisors to ensure technical and administrative/ personnel issues questions are being resolved
- Actively participate in team meetings and activities
- Identify opportunities for the development of new business with current customer(s)
- Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or Masters Degree in your field of specialty.
- Preferrably a Bachelor's or Masters degree in at a minimum one of the following research areas:
- Physical Model Development, Scaled Modeling, Computer Aided Design of Models, Hydrodynamic/Hydrologic Models, Planning Based Models, Web Based Numerical Modeling, In Situ Data Collection and Field Support, USACE specified training involving numerical models and data collection, Ship Simulation, Predictive Systems and Machine Learning, Program Management Support and Technology Transfer, Data Fusion, and Wildfire Relevant Technologies and Support
- 5+ years of proven Federal Government or Project Management Experience and Support.
- At least 5 years of personnel management; portfolio managemnet is a plus (ability to manage more than one program);
- PMP Certification is required.
- Experience managing contractor employees whose tasks are performed by Senior Sceintists, Engineers, and Research Assistants.
- Industry Experience Preferred- Government Contracting, Department of Defense, Corporate/Small Business Experience.

- Able to work with diverse technical and administrative teams and provide quality input and recommendations aimed at improving overall program
- Must be articulate, adaptable, and able to work with a variety of research professionals in academia, government, and
- Able to initiate open discussion with internal and external customers to understand and troubleshoot problems; and
- Excellent computer skills, including current and emerging Project Management software, MS Word, Excel, and e-mail software. Intermediate in spreadsheet development, manipulation, and management.

Security Requirements:
